Does size matter?

This week the price of the pitch at Powerleague is going up from £49 to £51! Daylight robbery I'm sure you'll agree but do we have any other options? Well maybe. Mr Fox has looked into what other pitches are near us and has come up with another possibility - Glasgow Green.
It's a bit further to walk and also means a walk through Glasgow Green or take the longer way round avoiding the Neds, Jakies, etc but it is only £30.60 per week. I've made a wee map so you can see how the two pitches relate to each other.
The other thing to note is that the pitches are totally different dimensions in case that makes a difference. See the image below for all the information.

So, what do we think? I reckon that the only way to know is to try it out for a week and see how we get on. It's not just the cost that we have to consider. Not all of us have cars to get home (especially Alan who has a train to catch to the East coast) but those that do come by car have to consider if it's easy enough to get to for 6:30. It's probably easier for some and a bit harder for others. For those of us that walk to the pitches, we'll have a longer walk through through the middle of Glasgow Green - great fun in the middle of December I'm sure!
Anyway, we're already booked up for next week at Powerleague (where if we play 10 more games, we get a free ball - woooo!) but maybe the week after that we can give it a shot. Use the poll or just use the results to chat about it.
